Many people think and also say that we all have the same God – it makes no difference if we say Buddha or Mohammed or Jesus, it’s all the same, just a different name. That’s a lie of the Devil. Anyone who doesn’t accept Jesus Christ as God and doesn’t believe in Him has gone astray.
For the Jehovah‘s Witnesses, Jesus is just a human being, a tool of God. For the Mormons, Jesus and Satan are brothers, the difference being that Satan is love and Jesus is evil. Of course, they don’t tell you that from the start, but instead they distribute such beautiful pictures of Jesus to win people over and to pretend they are Christians. The Buddhists and Hindus believe that Jesus was a guru and yogi, beside all of their other countless gurus. The Muslims believe that Jesus was just a prophet. But to them, Mohammed is naturally the last prophet and they believe that Jesus will come back as a Moslem, to islamize the world. What a fraud, because Jesus and Islam have absolutely nothing in common. The Catholic Church has already substituted Jesus with Mary and the saints, the people haven’t noticed that. And the Protestants? They got rid of Jesus long ago already; they only use Him so they can call themselves a church. For others, Jesus was a revolutionary, a Communist, a freedom fighter, a model of good and proper living, etc. etc.
Who is Jesus really? We read the following in Genesis 1:1-2: In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
We see three persons here: the Spirit of God (the Holy Spirit), God the Father and the Word (Jesus Christ), because God spoke His Word and through His Word, the world was created. So here we have a God in three persons. We read in the Gospel of John Chapter 1:1-14: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. … The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.” Why is Jesus called God’s son? Because He was born as a human being, He came through Mary as a baby, grew up until He went to the cross to die for us. Don’t forget: Jesus is not a human being, He became a man. He is God, who became man for us. Where is Jesus now? In Heaven, where He came from two thousand years ago and from where He will soon come to take over dominion of the world.
Philip, one of Jesus’s apostles, told Jesus: “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.” Jesus tells him: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?” God the Father, God the son and God the Holy Spirit: one God – but three persons. You may not be able to grasp this with your mind, you have to understand it with your heart first. In the letter to the Philippians Chapter 2:6-11, it says: “Who (Jesus), being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross! So we see again that Jesus left heaven and His godliness, became a man in order to die for us on the cross, so that when we accept that gift, we can live with Him forever.
In John’s Revelation (Apocalypse), we see Jesus as King of all kings. Jesus says: “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” Jesus was, is and will come again. Jesus says furthermore: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.” No-one can hold the keys of death and hell in his hands unless he’s God. Either you accept that and bow before Jesus Christ or at the latest after you die, you will have to bow before Him because He is the one who will judge the whole world!
In John’s Gospel 14:6 Jesus says: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Are you seeking the way to God? The way is Jesus. Are you looking for the truth? The truth is a person, Jesus. Are you looking for true life? Life is one person: Jesus. Without Jesus you are living dead. Your spirit is dead and must be reborn through God’s Spirit. Talk to Jesus. Entrust Him with your life and you will see the difference.
Today, when you hear His voice, don’t harden your hearts! Reconcile yourself to God through Jesus’s sacrifice! He loves you, He wants the best for you! Catherine
